USA swimming has announced the grants of 2016 through Make a Splash Program

The USA Swimming Foundation every year helps swim lessons nationwide to offer free lessons. Especially focused on children who cannot otherwise afford it. This foundation has awarded more than 400,000$ only in 2016 through Make a Splash program grant.

 

Since 2007, USA Swimming Foundation has given more than 4 million dollars by helping founding learn-to-swim programs.

 

This foundation, through Make a Splash program, only in 2016, more than 23,000 children were served through its grands. They were provided to more than 70 partners across the country. Only in these last ten years, more than four million children have been able to receive professional swim lessons through Make a Splash partners.

 

Did you know that swim lesson; make the risk of drowning decrease by almost 90% percent? Experts recommend these lessons to take place as earlier as possible into someone’s life. When you’re a kid, you are more able to learn the basic techniques and develop the essential instincts to make you better protect yourself from drowning.

 

The USA Swimming Foundation awards grants every year. This is done through a competitive application and review process. Water Splash has more than 800 local partners that help and promote water safety and give professional swimming lessons to kids from all groups of age. Also, it provides scholarships for participate in these swimming lessons.
