Vuelta a Espana 2017: Froome keeps a 11-second lead

Vuelta a epsana

Chris Froome has officially kept his leading position by 11 seconds while Slovenian Matej Mohoric, 22,  gave us an amazing performance to win stage seven. It was all clear soon after the rider made an obvious break during the last 10 km.

The UAE Team Emirates cyclists were able to finish the yesterday’s stage 16 seconds ahead of Poland’s rider, Pawel Poljanski. “It’s been a long time since my last big win,”- Mohoric said. “It feels great to get a victory again.

“I felt good in a breakaway the other day so I knew my shape was good.”

Britain’s rider, Froome, is now aiming to become the third man in cycling history to have ever won the Vuelta and the Tour at the same season, stronger that never.

On the other hand, Colombia’s rider, Esteban Chaves, got the second place as Irish rider from the BMC squad, Nicolas Roche, took the third one.

Team Sky main rider, Froome said: “Today was a lot more relaxed and we were more in control. Tomorrow is a really tough finish. It’ll be a big battle tomorrow.”
