Tour de Yorkshire 2018

Van Avermaet has won this season’s Tour de Yorkshire as Stephane Rossetto grabs final stage victory in Leeds.

The last seconds of Tour de Yorkshire’s final stage saw BMC’s Van Avermaet cracking Astana’s Magnus Cort to take the overall classification.

Today’s 189km stage included several steep climbs with Rossetto giving his best and leading the break most of the time while headed towards the final kilometers in an impressive solo ride while the Tour de Yorkshire winner Van Avermaet sprinted to take second place, 34 seconds behind Rossetto.
