The 2020 US Olympic trials that will be conducted in Omaha, Nebraska are set to take place from 21st June to the 28th of June.
The trials will also see the inclusion of 2 new categories; the women’s 1800 category and the men’s 1500 category, which means the total trial events are set to be increased by 2 categories.
However, the inclusion of these two new categories will not affect the trial schedule since the Board of Directors have decided to accommodate the additional events within the 8 day trial period.
Double the fun
The trails will take place during the same time as the local College World baseball Series amongst the NCAA’s Division I teams between the 12th of June and the 24th in Nebraska. This means that fans of both sports can double down on the fun during the sporting overlap.
The men and women passing the trials in Omaha will be expected to participate in the 2020 Olympic Games swimming events. They will be held on Tokyo from the 25th of July to 2nd August. This means they will have one month for the final preparations.
