Tour de Romandie update: Stefan Kueng wins stage two (Full results)

Stefan Kueng

Swiss Stefan Kueng won the second stage of Tour de Romandie on Thursday, April 27. He was able to beat champion Andriy Grivko during the sprint part of stage two. Despite this, Italian cyclist Fabio Felline was able to still remain in the lead.

Kueng was able to win stage two of this race for the second time in three years. BMC rider was able to be one of the four cyclists who were able to rave away despite the bitter cold stage that had to be shortened (from 187 km to 136.5 km) due to the heavy snow presence in the start of this stage.  This four-man breakaway was able to even keep a six minute lead in one point during the race!

The race is expected to end on Sunday with an individual time-trial of 18.3 km. This six-day, five-stage race in Switzerland clearly indicated the shape of many cyclists before the big Tour de France on July.

Froome, Team Sky’s rider will certainly be aiming to win that Tour for the fourth time.
