Tour de France: Movistar have just confirmed their line-up, and it’s surely a strong one!

Movistar is now part of the squads who have already confirmed their line-up for this season’s biggest grand tour which is set to being on 7 July.

The Spanish squad seems to be aiming for the big title and obviously, this means they will have to defeat Team Sky. To do so, they have decided to include in this season’s Tour de France squad three of their strongest climbers who will lead the squad in the most important Grand our in the world.

Nairo Quintana, Alejandro Valverde and Mikel Landa are all among favourties on this year’s Tour de France and will all work on grabbing the title from defending champion, Team Sky’s Chris Froome.

“We have an option A, but also a B and another C. It’s a big advantage. We’ll see if that first part of the race treats us well, then we’ll enter the terrain where our three move very well and we’ll see what happens,” team director Unzué said a couple of days ago.

“We have to wait a bit for the first rest day to take stock; the road will help us decide who’s the best. We can’t ignore Nairo’s consistency, Alejandro has shown his trajectory and Landa gives us reasons to keep hopeful.”
