Tour de France 2018: TTT might be a problem for Dan Martin as he looks seal a top-5 position

According to Dan Martin, building on his sixth position of last year’s Tour de France, might be a bit difficult due to the Team Time Trial.

Martin, who left his long-time team Quick-Step Floors to join UAE Team Emirates for a fresh start, admitted that he might find the first week of Tour de France which started only one hour ago today, especially the TTT.

“We are going to do our best. We are gelling as a unit, the feeling’s really good in the team,” Martin said yesterday while getting ready for the Tour.

The UAE Team Emirates’ team for this year’s Tour de France includes:

Alexander Kristoff

Kristijan Durasek

Marco Marcato

Marco Marcato

Roberto Ferrari

Oliviero Troia

Rory Sutherland

“We’ve never ridden a TTT together, but it feels like we have after these last few days of training. I am a lot happier than I was at the Dauphiné, we have a gelled unit here and a powerful one,” Martin added.
