Quick-Step Floors ready to win stages at Vuelta a San Juan’s sprints

Quick-Step Floors is feeling more ready than ever for their first race of the new season, the Vuelta a San Juan. The Belgian team is now used to taking victories in the South American country counting a total of 15 in only 5 years.

The race which will take place between the 21st and 28th of January, will witness Colombian Fernando Gaviria returning to one of the most important races and locations of his career so far.

He is now working hard in starting the new season with some strong stage victories, just like it happened two years ago, the moment when the rider first started shining on the international roads which eventually gave him the opportunity to sign the contract with Quick-Steps Floors.

Motivated to start the season with great results

“Vuelta a San Juan is a good race to start the season. We took five stage wins at the previous edition. So it’s only normal to line up at the start motivated to start the year with a good result,” Davide Bramati, said sports director, said in a Quick-Step Floors official announcement.

“Concerning our team, you can see it’s a mix of young riders with experience. They will have their chances to shine, especially in the bunch sprints, so we are looking forward to this race.”

As for the local rider, Maximiliano Richeze and also Colombian Alvaro Hodeg and Ecuadorian Jhonatan Narvaez, the Latin American representation of the team is complete.
