Le Romantique Tour: Cyclist asks Froome to help him propose his girlfriend (VIDEO)

tour de france proposal

Everyone knows Paris is not just the place the biggest cycling Tour takes place in, it is also the city of Love!

After winning his fourth Tour de France tittle, Froome felt the need to help another cyclist propose his girlfriend that was waiting for him in the crowd.

Froome, while still wearing his yellow jersey and meeting his fans that were cheering him, he then stopped and handled the cyclist a ring saying: “I’ve been caring this around for three weeks!

After Froome gave him the box with the ring in it, the cyclist said: “Is that what almost made you lose it?” He was referring to how close the big title was with Colombian Rigoberto Uran being only 52 seconds away from the big tittle that eventually went to the best.

Then, Froome replied, “Almost, it’s pretty heavy…”

After saying that, Froome took out a black box from his back pocket giving it to the other cyclist. He then went down to his knee and proposed to his stunned and confused girlfriend.

Written words on the letter…

He also made sure to start the proposal in the most memorable way. Before reaching to his girlfriend in the crowd he opened a piece of paper on which the French AG2R La Mondiale cyclist had written: “Caroline — will you marry me? I love you.”
