2018 seems to be the year of great improvements for IRONMAN who is now aiming to improve spectators’ experience by announcing the newest bike courses for both 2018 Subaru IRONMAN Canada and also Subaru IRONMAN 70.3 Canada. The events will take place in Whistler, British Columbia, on July 29.
IRONMAN has announced earlier today that the new routes will be mostly concentrated in the area near Whistler Valley. Apparently the main intention is to give people the possibility to cheer their favorite athletes as they compete for the big prize.

Prioritizing spectators

“We believe that making these changes to the routes in 2018 will offer athletes, their families and the local residents who come out to watch the races a better viewing experience,” Christine Cogger, Race Director for both Subaru IRONMAN Canada and Subaru IRONMAN 70.3 Canada, said.
The newest two-loop bike will be part of this year’s Subaru IRONMAN Canada triathlon event. It will begin at 6 a.m. and it will take place in Alta Lake. The other three-loop bike route that IRONMAN introduced today aims to lead all triathletes in a demanding route near the Callaghan Valley.
Both of these bike loop groups will make spectators feel more part of the events. They will be able to witness their favorite triathlete’s performance as they finally end the race in Whistler’s Olympic Plaza.
