After the cancellation of Saturday’s meeting in Blacksburg, Virginia, Georgia Tech team found a new way to practice. They didn’t let heavy snow and poor road conditions to destroy their vibes and ruin their practice day, so, instead of staying inside at their hotel, they decided to go for a swim in the frozen waters. They took the internet by storm with some videos posted by some of the team members which went viral.
It seemed they didn’t have something more fun to d. So the Yellow Jackets took the Virginia 5 inch snow very seriously. Unfortunately, their practice into the snow won’t count, but, if it would, then a new record has just been broken! They were able to handle the weather conditions and “practice” all the way through, in just about 1 minute. If road conditions will get better, they will leave Virginia today.
Wearing only their swimming uniform, it seemed they only cared about the popularity of their extreme action. Posted videos and photos reached over 3.0 million views since the first day after publishing it.
The video posted by freshman Aidan Pastel that features some of the best swimmers playing in the snow, was the one which took the most views. Well, we can see why these videos went viral…
