Four-time Olympic Champion Laura Kenny just gave us some great news!

Laura Kenny

The Olympic Champion, Laura Kenny is expecting her first child with her husband, six-time Olympic champion Jason Kenny. This news is already confirmed by their agent and a post on Instagram that Laura Kenny posted. The 24-year champion married her husband Jason Kenny on September in an intimate ceremony. They campion couple took multiple gold medals during the last Olympic Games held in Rio. They now seem to have been ready to take their next step towards building a family of champions.

She is the most famous and successful female Olympian in Britain and now, the Kenny clan will have one extra member. The Instagram photo she posted includes two adult bikes and a child’s one. A Twitter message from her Husband, 28, Jason Kenny, followed this post.

The couple’s agent, Luke Lloyd-Davies admitted that Laura Kenny is indeed pregnant and that their respective family members are thrilled with the news.

Missed Championships

It was the British Cycling that announced back in January that Kenny would be unable to attend the Six Day Berlin. And also, British Championships events. The real reasons were unknown, but now we know why.

Even though, according to her pregnancy timing, she could make a perfect return for the 2020 Olympic Games that will be held in Tokyo. But, unfortunately, this also means Kenny will take a break from her bike missing April’s Track World Championships that will be held in Hong Kong.
