UAE Team Emirates seems to have fulfilled one of its biggest goals of the decade by launching its own Youth Academy at Dubai Sports World with the main intention to work with the future generation cyclists.

Team Emirates announced earlier today that in this project, they have partnered with one of the main sports activity providers in Dubai, Just Play, and are now ready to start working on this major project.

Encouraging Young people

“It gives me so much pride to ride for UAE Team Emirates and fly the flag for my own country. Because I know that our successes on the UCI World Tour will encourage more young people in the UAE to take up the sport,” Mirza, Asian Road Cycling Champion, said.

“Launching a Youth Academy program is a great way to help youngsters get into cycling. And doing it indoors at Dubai Sports World means they can get fit and stay healthy even during our hot summer months.”

The academy will feature a three-week summer program which mostly targets girls and boys from 11 years old to 16. It is set to start on Sunday, July 8 and will end on July 29. The UAE Team Emirates Youth Academy will be part of official Dubai Sports World Summer Camp program.
