Italian rider, Diego Ulissi, has just won the first climbing stage of the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey claiming the overall lead from his main rival; Sam Bennett.
UAE Team Emirates’ rider surpassed everyone’s expectations by winning the mountain stage of the 2017 Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey out-pacing his rivals and taking a well-deserved lead.

Ulissi started the day in fifth place as UAE team seemed to really put their efforts behind him throughout the stage making both, Przemyslaw Niemiec and Darwin Atapuma to work for him as the stage hit the most difficult, climbing segment.
