Colorado Classic

14 pro cycling teams have already confirmed their participation in the new professional cycling race that will take place in Colorado. This event will last four days and it will also feature a market festival, gated music etc.

Colorado’s new racing event has already attracted 14 pro international cycling teams according to race organizers. The race is a reinvention of the first Colorado Classic. The fact that more than 14 international and also domestic teams have confirmed their participation, including five World Tour teams, speaks about the importance and value this race reflects among locals and others as well.

The Colorado’s Classic race will make its first debut on August this year as a state’s new version of a cycling event. It replaces the seven-day race across the state, USA pro challenge which has had fans all around the world. Unfortunately, this event is no longer active due to the loss of money each of its five years of existence… 2016 marks the last year of the race.

Colorado Classic’s must-knows

This event will last four days in total and it is organized as a point-to-point racing, different from the 600-mile stage that the Pro Challenge used to have. The race, during its four-day existence, will feature some of the top band names and more than 200 vendors. It will also include a multifunctional market festival.

The starting date is set to be August 10th until Aug.13th in Colorado Springs,  Breckenridge and Denver.

David Koff CEO of RPM Events Group, which is the main organization that will produce the race, said during an official statement: “We are excited to have such a competitive field — including four World Tour teams — for the inaugural Colorado Classic. With increased demands on teams dictated by a crowded international calendar, we are extremely grateful to the committed teams.”

Some of the UCI World Teams include the BMC Racing Team USA, Trek-Segafredo USA, Cannondale Drapac Professional Cycling Team USA, and also UAE Team Emirates UAE.

On the other hand, the main UCI Professional Continental Teams include Israel Cycling Academy ISR and Caja Rural-Seguros RGA ESP. Also Team Novo Nordisk USA, Nippo-Vini Fantini ITA  and also UnitedHealthcare Professional Cycling Team USA.

Last but not least, some of the UCI Continental Teams include Elevate -KHS USA and Jelly Bell p/b Maxxis USA. Also Axeon Hagens Berman USA, Holowesko/Citadel Racing p/b Hincapie Sportswear USA, and also Rally Cycling USA.
