Breaking: French Magistrates to investigate big-name riders for mechanical doping!

According to the famous French, satirical magazine, Le Canard Enchaine, there are two highly respected magistrates who have decided to open e detailed investigation into the latest trend of mechanical doping in the cycling world.

They claim that financial experts, Claire Thépaut and Serge Tournaire, are the ones who are leading the investigation. According to the popular weekly magazine, the magistrates were appointed since last summer to look at a possible plot that was “put together at the highest level” and that has “benefited big-name riders, allowing them to take advantage of the latest technological advances in the field of electric motors”…

According to the magazine, the experts are trying to find “links between international teams, private companies and cycling’s highest authorities” suggesting that “the ‘extraterrestrial’ performances on some climbs have led to many doubts: have they gone beyond the ‘biological doping’ that has been used in the peloton for more than a century.”

A subject that breaks the internet

The famous Le Canard Enchaîné article which was published earlier today on the front page, broke the internet. The two magistrates are apparently being supported by different financial crimes divisions of the French police.

“The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) takes note of the information published today in Le Canard Enchaîné reporting that an investigation is underway in France in the context of the fight against technological fraud. We welcome any assistance that we can receive in this field. Which is also one of the key priorities of the UCI President’s mandate. We are available to provide any help necessary to the competent jurisdictions,” an official statement read.

The new UCI President, David Lappartient, has promised to take some serious actions against mechanical doping. Especially after there were many raised doubts about the efficiency of the famous UCI’s magnetic tablets. Sadly, there have still been many reports of the use of different hidden magnetic wheels and technological devices. These manipulative technologies are the ones that make these violations very hard to track.

He has admitted that x-rays and also heat guns will now be more frequently used. Especially at professional events to detect any possible mechanical doping case.
