Arnaud Demare was able to outsprint Greipel and Kump taking the victory of Brussels Cycling Classic in the most intense way just ahead of Lotto Soudal’s and Team Emirates’ riders.

Brussels Cycling Classic race included 13 climbs in total. Soon after it started, the many sprinters racing for the big title quickly formed a group of around 5 riders that lead the race throughout most of its segments.

The main leading group involved: Dimitri Peyskens (WB Verandaclassic Aqua Protect), Sander Cordeel (Verandas Willems – Crelan), Patryk Stosz (CCC Sprandi Polkowice), Brian Van Goethem (Roompot-Nederlandse Loterij) and Stepan Kurianov (Gazprom-Rusvelo).

The Brussels Cycling Classic was 201.3 kilometers long in total from and also to Brussels. This race is also known as Paris-Brussels race and is considered to be one of the oldest ones on the calendar. In 2016, the title went Tom Boonen.
