Chris Froome was purposely hit by car on training ride in France

A car hit British champion, Chris Froome while training…

 

Fortunately, three-times Tour de France champion escape the car crash without any serious injury. According to Froome, this hit-and-run accident happened ‘on purpose’. The cycling champion said he was fully convinced he was purposely knocked off his bike by a driver during his training routine in South of France.

 

Fortunately, except his bike which ended up totally crashed, he suffered no injury. Froome, 31, reported this event to the police. He was able to continue his normal training despite the shock this accident make him experience.

 

 

Froome’s reaction

 

He even posted a picture on his official twitter page immediately after the incident. The team-Sky member is not currently taking part in Giro d’Italia. But he will take part Tour de France event that takes place in June in Criterium du Dauphine which Froome has been able to win three times.

 


This sudden and sad event follows the fatal accident that involved Italian cyclist Michele Scarponi last month. Sadly; Scarponi champion was unable to survive due to the high amount of injuries that a passing van caused him while training in Italy.
