Pedal Norfolk 2017

The backdrop of the family-focused cycling festival will be the Holkham Hall in north Norfolk starting on Saturday 27th of May until on Monday 29th. This year, the collaborating charity partner will be the Walking With The Wounded.

We should all expect this year’s festival to be bigger and better than ever. Pedal Norfolk aims to create an amazing celebration atmosphere to make families enjoy the weekend to the maximum while camping within the amazing grounds of Holkham Hall.

Statistics…

On Pedal Norfolk festival, this year, is expected to participate more than 2,500 cyclists. Also, more than 9, 000 visitors are expected to attend this three-day event. The best part is that there will take place all kinds of events and competitions for each age group category and for every level of ability.

All participants on this festival will have the possibility to ride a 20, 50 or 100 mile route. This route will be along north Norfolk’s most scenic roads. These coastal and not only roads vary from the smoothest ones to the grueling up hills; they are car-free and allow every participant to have an enjoyable and safe riding time.

On Saturday, the first day of the festival, for the first time ever, a closed-road race on the Eastern Counties will take place. It is supported by the British Cycling and run by the Fatbirds Cycling team. This route goes through some of the best park’s key landmarks.

For all children within the grounds of Holkham will be an ultra-safe 7 mile car-free riding route. Also, a balance bike training course, a mountain bike course through the woods, a cycle academy and a grass track training class!
