2011 FNMS Ultra Mini Triathlon:
- This is a challenging sprint triathlon.
- There is also a shorter novice event for those not ready for a race this long.
- The sprint triathlon is limited to 60 participants with awards going to top 3 males and females, along with the first-place team. It is a very friendly race, with many volunteers to cheer you on!
Course Information:
Sprint Triathlon
- The swim takes place in an indoor pool.
- The bike course is an out-and-back ride on a newly-paved road with rolling hills.
- The run is on a quiet road, out and back. The road is currently awaiting new pavement, so the run will be on gravel this year. The run is challenging with 2 long hills, and one shorter one.
Novice Triathlon - The novice event consists of 1/8 mile swim, 3.1 mile bike (on gravel this year), and 1/2 mile run on city sidewalks.
- Great event for families and anyone else ready to challenge themselves!
Directions:
- Veteran's Park and the Marathon Area Swim Association are both located on 4th Street in Marathon.
- If you come from Hwy 29, turn left at the corner by George's Market and Marathon Family Dentistry.
- Drive one block and the pool is on the right; 2 blocks and the park is on your left.
