The Bowling Green Sprint Triathlon will be held on Sunday August 21, 2011 at the Rusell Sims Aquatic Park in Bowling Green Kentucky. This is the 6th year for this event. The race consists of a 400 Meter pool swim in the Russell Sims 50 meter pool, a 23 kilometer bike course through the rolling and sometimes challenge hills of Bowling Green and Warren County, and finally a 5 kilometer run through the neighborhoods surrounding the Russell Sims Aquatic Park. This race is expected to attract 250-300 athletes. The course is challenging enough for expert triathletes, however still short enough for first time triathletes.

From Nashville, take I-65 north to the Natcher Parkway (exit 20). Take the second exit (exit 5) left onto Russellville Road (68/80). Turn right onto Russellville Road (68E/80E). Turn left onto KY 880 (Veterans Memorials). Park entrance is on the left off Tomblinson Way. |
