The 24th Annual Try Andy's Tri is a GREAT TRI for experienced triathletes, as well as prepared first-timers. (Newbies should be decent swimmers in open water. Must swim 12:00 or better for 300 meters in open water to participate.) Halloween-themed tech shirt. 
 

Course Information:

Course: 300-meter straight-shot, wide, point-to-point lake swim in First Colony next to the transition area/ 10-mile bike with plenty of police protection/ 3-mile shaded neighborhood run. Mid-October weather is normally pleasantly cool, but not extremely cold. Many in the field are first-timers, who will receive first-timer medals at the Memorial Hermann tent, as well as hundreds of multi-year returnees. Minimum age of 10 years old, as of 12/31/16.

Directions:

Suggested arrival is 5:30am for parking. Transition area OPENS at 5:30am and CLOSES at 7:00am. Plenty of free parking is available only a half-mile from the race site, then ride your bike, with helmet on, to the Aquatic Center. Lot 1...5330 Hwy 6 South in Missouri City, on the right side, at SugarCycles (bike sponsor), in the LA Fitness parking lot. NOTE: HEB lot, street parking at the First Colony Aquatic Center, and street parking adjacent to the FC lake are NOT available for parking. Lot 2...Limited VIP Parking of 75 spots is available at the Aquatic Center lot, 4350 Austin Parkway, for $30 Cenikor donation. NOTE: Any and all cars parking on the race course will be immediately towed for race access. Please DO NOT arrive to transition area after 7:00am. Closed then.
