The AR Tune-Up is the perfect opportunity for beginners to try adventure racing for the first time, and for experienced teams to get a jump-start on the 2016 season. This is an informal event, though run and designed like a real adventure race. No prizes or awards -- just great personal satisfaction!
Teams of 2-4 are allowed. Registration fee includes high-quality maps, canoes, paddles, and PFDs as well as food and beverages after the event. We work hard to keep the cost for this event low in order to encourage participation.
Price through May 1st: $40/Person; Price after May 1st: $50/Person
Courses: 3 to 4 hour beginner adventure race, including running/trekking, mountain biking, and paddling.
From the Twin Cities, take I-94 east to Menomonie. Turn right on Hwy 25 (exit 41), go about 1/4 mile south, and turn left on Pine St. Follow Pine Street to Wakanda Park.
Required Equipment:
Each PARTICIPANT must have the following personal equipment: mountain or cross bike (no road bikes allowed), helmet, whistle.
Each TEAM must have at least one of each of the following items: Compass (available to rent at the event for $1), map case, watch.
