Virtual Run Option!
The Lake Mills Rotary Club is excited to announce their newest International fundraiser supporting Rotary International’s Polio Plus campaign to help eradicate Polio from this planet!
Keeping with the tradition of dyeing fingers purple to show the child has received the polio vaccination, the Give Polio the Finger 5K is our tribute to these children as well as a way the Lake Mills community can help eradicate this terrible disease. Runners at the Lake Mills event will be able to join other runners throughout the world during the virtual 5K race to show their support to eliminate polio. Funds raised will be matched by the Global Polio Eradication Initiative—a public-private partnership that also includes the World Health Organization, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, UNICEF, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Course Information:
The course will mainly be held on the Glacial Drumlin Trail. It will be an out and back course.
