On Saturday, August 13th, the Parkside Athletic Club will be hosting the USA Track& Field National One Hour Racewalk Championship. The event will also feature the USATF Wisconsin One Mile Track Championship, a Pole Vault, and an Elite 5000m race (qualifying times apply).
The event will be held at South Milwaukee High School, South Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
This is your opportunity to be a Wisconsin state champion! Awards will be given in youth (2-year age groups), open (19-29), and Masters (5-year age groups).
For a limited time, entry is only $5! Ever before the price increases to $20.
The Elite 5000m race will feature some of the fastest men and women in the Midwest. If you are a man under 17:00 or a woman under 20:00, you can race for a chance at the winning prize money of $300! Prize money for second and third too.
Schedule of events:
5:00pm - Pole Vault (warm-up at 4:00)
5:30pm - Open One Mile Racewalk (unjudged)
6:00pm - USATF Wisconsin Women's Mile Championship (two heats)
6:30pm - USATF Wisconsin Men's Mile Championship (two heats)
7:00pm - USATF Men's One Hour Racewalk Championship
8:05pm - Coed Elite 5000m
8:30pm - USATF Women's One Hour Racewalk Championship
