THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED
This challenging event will feature man made and natural obstacles on a 5k course in and around campus. Whether you're an veteran athlete or a weekend warrior, you'll conquer 8 challenging obstacles like the Tower of Bale-ble and Mud Dauber, wade across the banks of the Hocking River, and venture through backwood trails as you make your way to the finish line. You'll be rewarded with a finisher medal and ice cold beer. Then head to the post-race party to relive all the action with friends, dance to live music at the Appalachian Outdoor Adventure, and celebrate your race against time (and mud).
The mini distance triathlon will start off with a 250 yard swim in a crystal clear quarry next to Hocking College. The 7 mi bike course features a partial lap of rolling hills along the Hocking before tracking back north via the Hocking Adena Bikeway. Finish with a 2 mile out and back run on the gently rolling Hocking Parkway. Duathletes will start off with a 2 mile run.
The sprint distance triathlon features a 750 meter counter clockwise swim in a crystal clear quarry next to Hocking College, while the duathletes are running an out & back 5k run within the park, followed by a single loop 20k bike course featuring rolling hills along the Hocking before tracking back north via the Hocking Adena Bikeway and finishing with a 5k out and back run on the gently rolling Hocking Parkway.
The Olympic distance triathlon features a 1500 meter 2-lap counter clockwise swim in a crystal clear quarry next to Hocking College, while the duathletes are running an out & back 5k within the park, followed by a 40k 2-lap bike featuring rolling hills along the Hocking before tracking back north via the Hocking Adena Bikeway and finishing with a 2-lap 10k run on the gently rolling Hocking Parkway.
For those who prefer to race one element of the triathlon or duathlon we offer a relay division for our sprint and Olympic distance triathlons and duathlons. Relay teams consist of three (3) members (1 swimmer, 1 biker, 1 runner), each member will complete one segment of the race (2 members for duathlon teams). Each team member will exchange their timing chip bracelet at their assigned bike rack. There are NO age groups in this division.
