An international and sprint distance triathlon held at Lake Wedington Recreation Park just 15 minutes from Fayetteville. The park is one of the most natural settings for a triathlon and is very spectator friendly. Great awards, post-race food, prizes and lots of activities for families make this a must-do triathlon.
Course Information:
Swim -
The swim will take place inside the park in the very clean and clear Wedington lake. Swim course is a point to point. One single transition area.
Bike
The bike course has smooth, fast pavement on lightly traveled paved roads with flat and rolling terrain. Expect one fairly significant climb.
Run
The run course is completely inside the park. It is a two-loop course on paved roads with a very tough hill on each lap, but with the remainder of the course on rolling, partially shaded terrain.
