It's the 2015 Race Against Substance Abuse and our new theme is "Teaming Up Against Substance Abuse". That's right, teams are where it's at. But, it gets even better. Sign up with a team of four or more and registration is absolutely FREE! Seriously, this is an official, certified timed 5k, complete with overall and age group awards, and it's free.

Wait, there is even more. Create a team mascot to compete in the team kids and mascots race for awards and prizes. This is a family friendly, community event. After the race there will be food, music games and fun. Sign up now, you won't want to miss this!

The course begins on pershing Drive and follows the lake front north along the cause way and bike path. This beautiful route is entirely along Lake Michigan and the Root River. for a map please visit the event site at: www.focusracine.org/focus-5k.html

Focus on Community is a Non-Profit organization that works to educate and inform the community on the dangers of substance abuse and to keep kids off of drugs and alcohol. Prevention goes beyond simply detering use, it also sets participants up for long term success and helps eliminate other risky behaviors. Focus reaches out through a wide variety of youth and family programs that teach important life skills and help develop assets. Much of our work is done with the schools and community to help give children and families a brighter, safer and healthier future.
