Welcome to the 2015 Sparta Triathlon. We are proud to host the first ever triathlon in the City of Sparta. We are excited to offer a chance to increase the sense of wellness and fitness to the community. This will consist of a 400 meter swim, 12 mile bike ride and 5k run (sprint). the swimm will go in our newly renovated $4.5 million Sparta Family Aquatic Center (50 meter pool). The bike will tkae place on out beautiful back country roads. The run will place in the cities historic downtown streets. There will be 3 divisions of competition. Competitive must complete all three events by own self. Fun must complete all three event by own self but is laid back at your own pace, great challenge to get fit. The last divison relay teams where one member of the team competes one event. All proceeds will go to Sparta Parks and Recreation Youth Scholarship Program.
