Each competitor is required by boating law to wear either an ankle leash to their board or a waist belt floatation
devise. Participants must be over the age of 15 years old.
All participants must have their race number clearly visible on both upper arms. Participants must launch their
board at the start of the race and carry their paddle through the finish line at the end of the race. We will have
volunteers available to catch your board at the end of the race, so you don't have to carry that through the finish
line, but you must have your paddle to qualify your time. Participants must round each buoy and race officials will
be positioned at each buoy to assure compliance along with safety. Timing will be maintained through an ankle
timing system in coordination with Superior Timing company, out of Marquette, Michigan. Racers will take off in
flights and at the end of the race the winners will be posted on a board and awards will be given out after all
competitors have completed the course. Thank you for your participation and cooperation in putting together a
successful first time event!
