Come on out to the Inaugural Selfridge Sprint/Super Sprint Triathlon! We here at Tri To Finish are all about supporting our men and women in uniform. So, when we were asked to come out to Selfridge to put on a multisport event there, well, we were both honored and excited more than we can tell you here!
Plans are still being set for this event, but we have some Sponsored/Ambassador athletes who are also veterans and are onboard to help organize this event in a big way. We are looking to make this a fundraiser for an organization that assists Veterans in a very positive manner.
Course Information:
Situated on a military installation, Selfridge Air National Guard Base is located in east of Mt. Clemons in Macomb County. The swim will take place in the waters of Anchor Bay. Sprint athletes will complete a single triangular swim course. The bike portion covers a flat/paved, out and back closed course along the south and west side of Selfridge. The run portion takes athletes in the opposite direction running north along the water on a flat, out and back closed course.
Directions:
There are two main public entrances to Selfridge Air National Guard Base for the Selfridge Sprint Triathlon. The main gate of Selfridge will be accessible from 21 Mile Road to Jefferson east into the base. Note: Rosso Highway (M-59 / Hall Road) will be closed from I-94 into the base. 21 Mile Road is exit 241 East off of I-94. The other entrance is off North River Road in Harrison Township, accessible from Mt Clemens or from I-94.
