Our race is one of the most scenic and exciting races in the
area. You will start out with a route that takes you through the tree lined
streets of West Branch. Approaching mile one you will pass by the prestigious
West Branch Country Club where you get a gorgeous view of the course in the
morning light. This is where the race splits, the 5K walkers and runners will
turn to enjoy the color of fall in the streets of West Branch which takes them
next to the river which winds through town. The 10K and 12 Marathoners will head out of
town after the Golf Course to take in some of the brightest colors that
Northern Michigan can produce in the fall. They will experience rolling hills,
road side ponds and streams and unforgettable views on their journey through
the Northern Michigan landscape.
