The 2 mile kayaking course follows the perimeter of Long Lake starting and finishing at the Long Lake Outdoor Center beach area.
The 16 mile mountain bike course takes the two track road from the Outdoor Center up to McDonald Lake where it picks up the Mountain Bike Trail. The course then follows the complete Mountain Bike Trail loop and returns by way of the same two-track road.
The 6 mile running course follows Hall Lake Trail and spur trails past the Devils Soup Bowl to the Mountain Bike Trail. Then it takes a section of the Mountain Bike Trail past the Soup Bowl and up to McDonald Lake. At McDonald Lake it takes the North Country Trail, Chief Noonday Trail, Long Lake Trail, and one of the ski trails back to the Outdoor Center.
The 2.5 mile running course for the duathlon is a loop on the Hall Lake Trail.
