A pretty poorly organized race. I don't know if they were understaffed or what.
Very few people knew that a one-day membership to USA triathlon had to be purchased the day of the race. at least 50% of the racers had to run back to their cars or to an ATM to get the extra $10 to purchase the one-day membership.
Folks, if you have that many people scrambling to get their cash together at the last minute, then the organizers haven't done their job well enough.
Also, why did I have to make a special trip back to the registration pavilion to ask someone if I can have my race shirt? I'm a slow little fat man, and the race shirt is the closest thing I'm going to get to a trophy. Don't make me beg for it.
Another thing: You only had medium-sized shirts? WTF? I can't wear that without looking like an idiot, so thanks.
Also, the registration said it that racers get a tech-shirt. You people have a pretty funny idea of what constitutes a tech-shirt.
Lastly, it's been nine days since the race, and no results have been posted. Jeez.
Any one or two of these issues wouldn't be a big deal, but man, this race was a clusterf%#k from the get-go.
