2013 Tippecanoe 5K & 10K Mud/Trail Run:
2nd Annual Tippecanoe 5K/10K Mud/Trail Run.
Trail run will include a minimum of eleven obstacles negotiated on a 5K course.
The Kids run will be on a separate course with scaled down obstacles.
This event is being held in association with the Charlotte Harbor Nature Festival and proceeds from the event will be used to enhance Tippecanoe Park and promote environmental awareness.
Obstacle information can be found at the Charlotte County website beginning August 1, 2013.
Post race food and entertainment will be provided.
Course Information:
Tromp through tires filled with water and mud.
Make your way through an intricate web of rope.
Climb up and jump off an 8-12 feet wall of hay.
Make your way through fresh turned sand and mud trails.
Balance across a 2 foot wide teeter-tauter.
Jump over the hurdles to make it to the smooth boardwalk.
Climb up the side of Mount Tippecanoe on a cargo net.
Belly crawl through the sand under a secured net.
Crawl on hands and knees through large culvert tunnels.
Plan for surprises.
