This first year Duathlon was added to our 5k that funds the Dansville Cross Country program at Dansville High school. Three time Duathlon World Qualifier and Dansville Track and XC Coach is adding this Duathlon because of his love of this sport and wants to introduce it and help the sport grow. Our Certified 5k course will have a 12 mile bike in between, and feature a full breakfast for everyone. Free hotel stays to the over all winners of the 5k as well as the Duathlon. Please come support our program. We have no funding from our school and we need to keep the program going.  This first year, we are keeping the cost the same as the 5K. Bring the whole family and have a great time! Thanks!

This was my first Duathlon and I had a great time. It was very well organized and the staff was very friendly. I will be running this again next year. Things that I would add or change are: 1.Have more signs on the bike course possibly at each mile. 2. Make sure you recognize every contestant that comes across the line. Yes the winners are nice but the back markers pay just as much as the winner does and there are more back markers than there are winners. I was standing there when the last contestant crossed the line and now one was cheering her on or there to give her medal and a bottle of water. This wasn't intentional but just overlooked because they didn't know anyone else was coming in. I overheard a couple workers that weren't sure if everyone was in. This could be taken care of with some sort of hand held radios. That's really about all I would change. I had fun and got to talk to some really nice people. See you next year!! Paul Thurmond
