Inaugural Gilman Pirate Triathon

2.5 mile Canoe/Kayak
15 mile bike
Compete in the Inaugural Pirate Triathlon, starting at 9:00AM at the Miller Dam Boat Landing. Triathlon begins with a 2.5 mile run along Miller Dam, followed by a 2.5 mile canoe or kayak down the flowage and ending with a 15 mile bike ride into Gilman.
Pre-registration fee is $25/ per person and the pre-registration deadline is June 1st Registration after taht it is $35/ per person. Registration fee includes a t-shirt and 4-H dairy breakfast at the park following the race.*Find a partner and do it together
or as a relay team! Or just do the *Medals awarded

Other events during June Dairy Days include: Western Taylor County Expo sponsored by Western Taylor County Tourism Committee, 1 mile Fun/Run Walk sponsored by Gilman Lioness and Softball tournament sponsored by CBA. On Sunday, June 16th Chicken Barbeque by CBA.
Course Information:
The 2.5 Mile Run and the 2.5 Mile Canoe/Kayak Part of the Triathlon will be located at Miller Dam. The Bike Ride will go from Miller Dam to the Gilman Village Park.
Directions:
From Hwy 29 to Gilman
Take Hwy. 53 N. to Hwy. 29 E., Follow 29 E. to Thorp. Take Hwy. 73 N. aprox. 12 miles. Take a left on 73 and go 3 miles to Hwy 64. Take a left on Hwy 64 and go 4 miles into Town. Take a left on 2nd Avenue South 2 blocks. The Village Park is located on Riverside Drive.
