Put on your best long johns, thermal underwear,
red union suit, white knickers, winter knickers, paul bunyan's, long
handlers, hillbilly wedding outfit, or canadian tuxedo and get out of
your log cabin or dorm room to welcome Spring and join us on Saturday,
March 30 on the campus of The Ohio State University for a fun 5K run
and walk.
The Long John Run is part of the OSU Ross Heart Hospital's Wellness
series - a partnership between The Ohio State University Wexner Medical
Center, OSU Ross Heart Hospital and City of Columbus Recreation and
Parks and the Department of Health to promote heart-healthy activities
across Central Ohio for the prevention of heart disease. All proceeds
from this event will be donated to the Ross Heart Hospital for heart
disease treatment and research or back into the community for City of
Columbus programs supporting heart health and overall wellness.
In addition, we are collecting laundry detergent, fabric softener,
dryer sheets, soap, toilet paper and paper towels to be donated to The
Unverferth House http://www.unverferthhouse.org/
,which serves as a temporary residence for The Ohio State University
Medical Center heart transplant patients and families who live outside
Franklin County.
All participants will receive an official thermal Long John Run shirt.

Shirts & Amenities
All adult participants registered by March 15 will be guaranteed to receive a long-sleeve thermal shirt. Registrations after March 15 will receive a long-sleeve thermal shirt based on available qualities and sizes. If you do not receive a thermal shirt you will receive a short-sleeve sustainable Long John Run official event t-shirt.

Must be in high school, middle school or an undergraduate 25 & younger to be eligible for student rate.

Awards will be given to the top 5 male and female finishers of the 5k. Other awards include:* Best Canadian Tuxedo

Policies & Refunds
There are no refunds or transfers. Additionally, if you do not show up for the event, no shirt or packets will be mailed.2013 Results:
