The 5K run/walk and kids run is part of the Wisconsin Army National Guard s 832nd Medical Company (Air Ambulance) of the 2009 Community Day.

Proceeds from the race registration will be donated to the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight of Wisconsin (www.starsandstripeshonorflight.org), whose mission is to fly WWII veterans and terminally ill veterans from other wars to see their memorials in Washington DC.

Course Information:

Portions of the route will be on the city bike trail.

Directions:

The race begins at the roundabout at the junction of Main St. and West Washington St. (Hwy 33), in downtown West Bend, and ends at the Army National Guard Armory 832nd Medical Co., 125 Chopper Drive, West Bend, WI.

Runners should meet at the Armory and will be provided transportation to the starting line.

Pre registration: $10 kids/$20 adults

Race day registration: $15 kids/$25 adults

Awards:

There will be male and female divisions for the following age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59.

Race entry includes a t-shirt and awards for top finishers in each category.

Post Race:
Following the race, runners, families and community members are invited to enjoy food and kids activities, visit with member of the 832nd and tour many pieces of military equipment and vehicle that will be on display at the Armory.
