Greetings from the treat which is Lapham Peak State Park https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/parks/laphampeak.
Located in the Southern Kettle Moraine Forest in Delafield, Wisconsin. Here is our new spot for the Trail Dog Ultra distance (or less) Canicross event being held Saturday, October 12, 2024. This date will also serve as the FIRST TIME a Canicross event is being held at the park. Insert excited squeal >here<.
With that you will greeted by a 5-mile predetermined marked route that uses bits and sections of all 3 color coded marked trails. Black, blue and purple. They also have titles on the hills and certain sections of the trails, but you’ll need to discover those names for yourself. You decide on 1 loop or 6. The trails can be described as wide, semi hilly and moderately technical. Also, she’s like really, really pretty and you’ll learn quickly why this land is so treasured. Feel free to bring spectators with you to roam through the seasonal butterfly garden and climb the 45 foot observation tower. It’s a perfect place to enjoy a day away at and appreciate all the hard work that goes into it mostly by this organization https://laphampeakfriends.org/.
Being a Wisconsin state park an annual or day pass is needed for your vehicle.
