_The 2023 Blake's Tinman Triathlon:
It all begins on a bike by riding out the driveway at the main event grounds for a 6+ mile tour around Reedsburg where you’ll end up on the north shore of the Baraboo River. (note: the last 1 mile is gravel bike trail so BE CAREFUL with skinny tires!!) You will ditch your bike and get into your paddle vehicle (canoe, kayak, or kanac) which will be staged there PRIOR TO STARTING EVENT. The paddle down the Baraboo River meanders for 1 mile. Then you’ll ditch the paddles. The final leg of the triathlon is a 1+ mile run/walk from the boat landing back to the main event grounds, one lap around the pond, and then cross that finish line!
Renting makes it easier to participate. If you rent a bike and/or kayak, they will be pre-staged for you and dealt with after the event. If you bring your own bike and kayak, you are responsible for staging your kayak at the location shown in the map detail no later than 10 AM. After the event, we will bring all kayaks and bikes back to main event grounds for you! Most participants will be finished by 1 PM. Feel free to hang out at the main event grounds for games, music and free refreshments. All day enjoy food truck(s) and enjoy the music, auctions, cornhole tourney, raffles and party! Can’t wait to see you here!
