_The 2023 Mind Over Matter Triathlon:
This sprint triathlon at Coconut Cove RV Resort in southwest Wisconsin is a fundraiser for brain cancer research in honor of the late Dennis Dietzel. Funds raised will be donated directly to Dr. Varun Monga's glioblastoma (GBM) research at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. This late summer event is perfect for first-timers as well as competitive triathletes. The race starts with a calm, clean 750m lake swim in the lake at Coconut Cove RV Resort. Riders will then be challenged with a hilly 20K bike on quiet and beautiful country roads in Grant County. The run is flat and fast, and finishes with a loop around the RV Resort. All finishers will receive finish line food/drinks, a t-shirt and finisher medal. There will be awards for the top 3 overall male and female finishers, as well as the top 3 finishers in each division. The overall male and female champion will each win a cash prize of $200. 2nd and 3rd place overall males and females will win awards donated by our sponsors.
