_The 2023 Lake Whatcom Triathlon:
Enjoy the picturesque course in this challenging but fun, triathlon in Bellingham, WA. Featuring Olympic and sprint-distance triathlons, aquabike, and kids splash 'n dash! The Lake Whatcom Triathlon is host for the 2023 USAT Washington State Championships for Highschool and Age Group Divisions. All ages and levels are welcome. Can be completed solo or as a relay team. Registration includes participation in guided course previews and weekly training groups leading up to the main event. After the race, stick around for a post-race party packed with prizes and awards.
This is a USAT-sanctioned event.
Olympic-distance triathlon was welcomed back to beautiful Bellingham, Washington in 2017 with the Lake Whatcom Triathlon(LWT). The 2021 version is a USAT sanctioned event. The race includes a 1500-meter swim on Lake Whatcom, 40km bike ride along North Shore Drive and Y Road, and a 10km run around the trails of beautiful Whatcom Falls Park, with the transition area and start/finish lines at Bloedel Donovan Park. The event draws beginner to elite athletes, in individual and relay divisions, and includes an expo area for athletes and spectators.
