_The 2022 Impossibleman:
Enjoy the legendary Ode to Laz race festival vibe inside the beautiful Holly State Recreation area as you complete the Impossiblman circuit as many times as you'd like throughout the day. You'll enjoy an awesome private transition area frequently on the 600yd swim, 16.8 mi. looping bike, and 3.77 mi. trail loop. Yes, it's the famous Ode to Laz trail loop. You can fit this race into any annual racing and training plan since you decide the distance and intensity. Do an iron-distance in 14 hours or less and you're crowned an Impossibleman. (We bet you can't... in fact, we'll refund $100 of your entry and let you race free next year if you do)

The 16.8 mile bike is a looping course entirely contained in the park. It's a hilly, rhythm course that will keep you entertained and won't put you to sleep. You can use any type of bike, but we recommend your road bike. There's enough twists, turns and climbs that an aero bike doesn't help much, but you're welcomed to use it. Many folks race sprints and olympics in this park on aero bikes. It will be open to occasional park patron traffic, but they're used to folks using the park road.
The 3.77 mile run is on the famous Ode to Laz race trail loop. Gorgeous single track with woods and lake views to keep you cool all day. It's hilly like the bike loop.
600 yard flat lake swim. No sharks, no hills. Clean and clear enough to drink.
Directions:
Don't use the google directions for Holly Recreation area. Instead, go to 5000 McGinnis Rd. Holly, MI Enter the park toward Heron, Valley and Wildwood lakes and proceed straight past the guard shack. Stay straight on the internal park road for approximately 3 miles until you descend and dead-end into the parking lot at the Valley & Wildwood Cabin area.
