_ The 2022 BoFish Triathlon presented by Happy Place:
The goal of the BoFish is to provide the most personalized, challenging, fun and fulfilling experience a triathlon has to offer. The race will be capped @ 75 racers (up from 50 in 2021), creating the community feel that has made the event so special. Racers will have their own transition pod, and the BoFish merchandise is 2nd to none. The top male and female finishers will receive Thule luggage, with winners also receiving a Trumbull merchant gift basket.
For the 2nd year, the BoFish is proud to partner with the Cardinal Shehan Center in Bridgeport where we are providing exposure to the sport of triathlon as well as raising money for Shehan Center youths' recreation programs. This year we are excited to offer a fully-chaperoned mini tri for a couple of the Shehan Center kids.
Course Information:
The 3rd Annual BoFish Triathlon takes place at the idyllic setting of Pinewood Lake in Trumbull, CT - the first outdoor triathlon of the year in CT. The swim is an up-and-back in the placid waters of Pinewood Lake, where spectators will cheer you on from lakeside docks. T1 is as close to the swim exit as you'll ever experience in a triathlon, and you might just hear a local band banging out some tunes during your transition. The bike is a straight shot up-and-back through Trumbull, Shelton, and Monroe. Get ready for 11 tough miles on the way out, and a fast 11 miles back. You'll then take a look around Pinewood Lake, previewing the challenging run ahead of you before entering T2. Relative to distance, the 2-loop run around Pinewood Lake is almost certainly the most challenging run a racer will ever experience during a triathlon.
Directions:
The address for the BoFish transition area is 33 East Lake Road in Trumbull, CT. Parking is limited, and those entering from Daniels Farm Road will be directed to park on Cove Road. Racers coming from Booth Hill Road will be directed to park on West Lake Road.
