_ The 2022 Black Squirrel Scurry Triathlon:
This race is a cooperative effort with the City of Merrill Parks and Recreation Dept. and Merrill Area Chamber of Commerce. We are also in conjunction with the Merrill Lobsterfest, hosted at Ballyhoo's, the evening after the race.

BIKE/RUN TRANSITION & FINISH: MARC, 1100 MARC Dr, Merrill
AWARDS: Cenotaph Park, 124 N Prospect Ave, Merrill (located across from Ballyhoos) at 1:30 PM
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
The Black Squirrel Scurry is a triathlon that features a 2 mile paddle down the Prairie River, a 17.5 mile bike ride featuring the River Bend Trail out to the countryside of Lincoln County, and a 5K trail run through the Merrill Area Rec Complex and Council Grounds State Park. Park at the MARC and catch a shuttle bus to Prairie River Park.
RACE FEES: (Fees will rise July, 1)
$65 Solo Ages 20 and Older. ($80 after 7/1)
$40 Solo 19U
$120 Tandem and Relay Teams Ages 20 and Older. ($140 after 7/1)
$65 Tandem and Relay Teams 19U ($80 after 7/1)
Returning Champions and those requesting a seeded starting time need to have request sent to race director by July 15, 2022 for consideration.

EVENT SCHEDULE:
Packet Pick-up Friday, July 29 6-8 PM (recommended @ MARC) or Sat, July 30 6:30-8:30 AM (@ Prairie Trails).
Awards & Raffle Prizes to follow at Cenotaph Park
AWARDS: Top 3 in each Division. Over-all plaque to top Solo Male, Solo Female.
BENEFICIARIES: Northwoods Veterans Post and Friends of the River Bend Trail
WEATHER POLICY: If in the event of severe or threatening weather, course workers will communicate conditions and, by decision of the Merrill Fire Dept., may communicate to participants to immediately stop to seek shelter. If in the event heat indices begin to enter unhealthy zones, participants will be informed at transition stations. If a participant feels, at any time, that conditions are not safe to continue, please communicate to a course worker your status. The course may be shut down if heat indices enter a dangerous zone and all participants will be asked to stop.
