2012 Lansing Legislator Triathlon:

  • Sunday August 7, 8:00am.
  • Sleepy Hollow State Park, Laingsburg, MI.
  • Located 10 miles north of Lansing and the MSU campus about 5 miles off of 127.
  • This is one of the larger state parks we have and one that came to us directly from the DNR saying this would be a great park for our events.
  • The state park entry fee of $6, please have that ready when entering the park.

    • Course Information:


  • The swim is in lake Ovid which can be weedy in spots but we have done a great job in ensuring you are staying away from those areas and the new Time Trial format will greatly reduce the chance of swimming in weeds as well.
  • The bike is great, on farm country roads, all new and smooth. This is a pretty rolling course, one that you can keep you momentum and cadence up on. Not a ton of shade however, and lightly traveled.
  • The run course is completely contained in the park. Mostly flat and has two short trail sections.
