_ The 2022 Chippewa Challenge Indoor Triathlon:
The 11th Annual Chippewa Challenge Indoor Triathlon will be held at Central Michigan University on February 20, 2022. This event is open to the community and collegiate athletes.
Additional Information & Event Schedule:
The race will begin with wave 1 at 7:30am. It is a 20 minute swim in our indoor pool followed by a 5 minute transition to the cardio room upstairs. Then, a 20 min bike followed by a 5 min transition to the indoor track. Finally, a 20 min run. Volunteers will be tracking distances for each participant. There are 10 participants per wave. There are 9 waves. Wave 9 begins at 10:50am and will end by 12:00pm. Parking will be outside the SAC. Please bring a valid ID and be prepared to sign a waiver upon arrival.
Course Information:
The format of the race is as follows:
20-minute swim, in a 25-yard indoor pool, swimming as many laps as possible.
5 minute transition period
A 20-minute ride on a stationary bike, biking as far as possible
5 minute transition period
20-minute run, completing as many laps around the indoor track as possible
FINISH!
Our volunteers will be in charge of keeping track of all your distances. Then, each distance will be put into a program, which will weigh the three disciplines accordingly and determine the finishing places.
Note: The SAC pool is a 6 lane pool. Therefore, it is possible that you will have to split a lane with someone during your heat where you can swim "sides".
