Escape the traffic and craziness of the west side, when you arrive take a deep breath and relax on the Sunrise side to enjoy the beautiful crystal clear Lake Huron Shoreline, crisp, clean pine air in Tawas City on 23!
Tawas city, just before East Tawas, the site of the Sunrise Side event and the Sunrise Side series championship has just spent two years developing their beach side park on US23. That will be the site for this Lake Huron swim event, taking you west on very lightly traveled smooth, rolling roads for the bike. Crossing back over 23 for the transition to the run which will use the bike path along Lake Huron and US23.
Course Information:
A brand new venue, a 5 year redevelopment project has the new Tawas City Shoreline park on 23 a great spot for this new addition to the Sunrise Side Multi-sport Series. Swimming in the crystal clear waters of Lake Huron, biking on the lightly travelled roads of Iosco county and running along US 23’s bike path before finishing back at shoreline park.
