NO OTHER RACE EXPERIENCE LIKE IT IN THE WORLD!
Never before have you been escorted to your swim start by the United States Army. A giant bridge comes to shore and you board. You will be taken to your swim start and your adventure begins!!
On September 15th an adverture of a lifetime takes place. You will want to be part of it!!

Race weekend will be truly epic. This two-day event will be like no other in that there HAS NEVER been.
Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019: You will have an EXCEPTIONALLY RARE opportunity for a non-military civilian to observe an actual CAPEX Mission:
9:00 am - 5:00 pm: CAPEX Expo and Triathlon Packet Pick-Up
9:00 am: CAPEX Mission execution 1
10:15 am: Course talk 1
11:00 am: CAPEX Mission execution 2
Night before Bike drop-off begins. Security will be there guarding your bike.
12:15 am: Course talk 2
1:00 pm: CAPEX Mission execution 3
2:15 am: Course talk 3
3:00 am: CAPEX Mission execution 4
4:15 am: Course talk 4
Sundown: Night before Bike drop off closes
A race start with a military escort on Sept. 15, 2019 - get ready for the next generation of racing:
5:00 am: Transition opens
6:20 am: Boarding to swim start begins, transition closes
6:35 am: Final participants board, leave shore
6:45 am: Arrival at sprint swim start location, sprint waves begin
7:08 am: Arrival at Olympic swim start location, Olympic waves begin
7:19 am: Arrival at 70.3 swim start location, 70.3 waves begin
9:00 am: Swim Course closes

2:00 pm: 70.3 Awards
4:00 pm: Run Course closesThe St. Louis Triathlon offers a traditional, Olympic-length course which includes a 1500 meter swim, 25.1 mile bike, and a 10 km run
Swim: The CAPEX triathlon provides a swim experience that has never been seen before. Watch as the 739th Bridge Company from Granite City, Il builds your platform before your eyes. Board the IRB and start your journey. Whether you dive or jump, your race experience is one of a kind!!
Bike: With quiet country scenery and the flat roadways the Illinois countryside is famous for, CAPEX offers a single shot loop for your ride to catch as much of the view as possible while speeding along smooth surfaces on quiet rural highways!
Run: Run along the spillway for a view that can only be seen to be adequately described. Whether you are under quiet tree cover or running past the rushing water on the opposite side of the dam as gulls chase fish, your run will be filled with sights and sounds to keep you entertained without losing your focus on the finish line!!
